Our Journey Towards Advancing Energy Solutions

Recently, we had the honour of hosting the Minister of Energy, Terje Lien Aasland (AP), for a symbolic inauguration of our latest projects. Reflecting on his own beginnings as an apprentice as a energy fitter, the Minister emphasised the importance of increasing the respect for skilled workers and the critical importance of raising the status of working operators in the industry.

In addition to the Minister's visit, we were honoured by the presence of Deputy Mayor of Skien Municipality, Helene Røsholt (H), CEO of Grenland Chamber of Commerce, Mette Sannerholt Andersen, and our good neighbours from Grenland Port, Port Director Torben Jebsen and Business Developer Hege Svendsen. Our guests received a presentation on our company, highlighting how recent political measures like the tax package for the oil and energy sector reflect in our order books. The minister expressed optimism for the future, committing to develop rather than phase out the oil industry. Our guests were taken through our ongoing and upcoming projects, culminating in a tour of our production facilities.

Reflecting on the visit, Helene Røsholt shared, "The visit was extremely enlightening! Being a significant enterprise, Moreld Agility is a source of immense pride for Skien municipality. The company not only offers people employment opportunities, thereby preventing exclusion but also stands as a world leader in its field, which is truly impressive."

Innovation and Empowerment

In an era marked by record order books, our journey continues to be one of innovation and strategic partnerships. Specialising in subsea manifolds and structures, our history in the offshore market has positioned us as a preferred partner for significant projects like Irpa, Verdande, Berling, Utsira High, along with Begonia & Clov. These initiatives showcase our capability to support the major players in the energy sector. Additionally, jobs that were previously outsourced abroad are now being repatriated to Røra. This shift is driven by the benefits of tighter quality control over the work performed and the renewed profitability of manufacturing within Norway. Our commitment to bringing work back home and enhancing local production benefit not only the environment but also strengthen our ties to the community in Skien and the surrounding areas.

The establishment of our Welding School represents another facet of our commitment to the future. By transferring knowledge to apprentices and ensuring a pipeline of skilled professionals, we are preparing for the demands of tomorrow. Moreover, our concerted effort to increase the representation of women in pivotal roles, such as welding inspectors and materials engineers, reflects our belief in diversity as a catalyst for excellence.

Our Next Goal

Our focus extends beyond current projects to the vast potential of renewable energy. With the development opportunities at Røra, including the area by the sea, we are poised for growth. This positions us uniquely within the renewable sector, underlining our commitment to being a leading supplier for future energy solutions while maintaining our strong ties to the community in Skien and the surrounding areas.

As we look to the future, our dedication to the advancement of the energy sector, supported by skilled and proud professionals, remains unwavering. Together, we are not just witnessing change; we are driving it.
