Bløtkake might seem like a small gesture, but in Norway, it’s how we celebrate milestones — big or small. Today, we gathered to enjoy a slice (or two) as we marked four years without a lost-time injury. While the cake added sweetness to the day, the real story lies in the work, dedication, and culture that made this achievement possible.

The room, mostly filled with men, hummed with energy. Conversations bounced between projects and the finer points of bløtkake consumption. “It’s always a bit too much, isn’t it?” someone mused, even as they reached for a second slice. This workplace chatter is what makes milestones like this even sweeter; it’s a reminder of the camaraderie that fuels our team.

Employees are empowered to take ownership of safety, whether it’s reporting potential hazards, following strict procedures, or looking out for their colleagues. In other words: safety is never left to chance!
