Our Plans to Close the Tønsberg Facility by Summer 2025

We have announced that our operations in Tønsberg will be discontinued. We made this decision due to the lack of new contracts for 2025, which makes continued operations unviable.

Our decision to close the Tønsberg site comes after a period of uncertainty. Although we made efforts to secure new projects, key contracts for late 2025 went to competitors abroad. With no new orders, it has become too difficult to keep the facility running.

The closure affects 16 of our employees in Tønsberg. We are committed to supporting them through this change by holding individual meetings to understand their needs and providing guidance. We will also help assist our employees in finding new opportunities.

We held an all-staff meeting in Tønsberg to communicate this decision and answer questions from employees. A similar meeting was conducted in Skien (Røra) to ensure all staff were informed and had the chance to ask questions and share their thoughts.

Work at our Tønsberg facility will continue until the summer of 2025, as work comes to an end. The remaining tasks will be completed with the same commitment shown by our employees.

What’s Next for Agility?

While our Tønsberg site will close, the facility in Skien remains operational. Our Røra facility has reliable contracts that will provide continued job stability for our employees.

We extend our gratitude to the dedicated employees in Tønsberg for their hard work and commitment. Their efforts have maintained our high standards, and we will focus on delivering quality in future projects from the Røra facility.
